Hardcoat™ Physical Therapy Mirror 16″ x 48″ x 1″

$217.00

Hardcoat™ Mirror offers a combination of the excellent shatter-resistant qualities of acrylic plastic with high reflectance. Due to the manufacturing process of acrylic mirror material, slight distortions in reflections are normal but no more than in a glass mirror. Hardcoat™ Mirror has been developed utilizing a proprietary process to laminate the acrylic to a flat backing eliminating 90% of possible distortions. This brings safety and shatterproof features to a durability of daily cleaning. Regular non-abrasive cleaners can be used on our Hardcoat™ Mirror.

Hardcoat™ Mirror are a perfect replacement for heavy, traditional glass mirrors in environments such as dance studios, gyms, physical therapy centers, schools, daycares, theaters, building lobbies, or anywhere else that you would need a high-quality, lightweight, impact resistant reflective surface.

Hardcoat™ Mirror is unlike cheap acrylic sheet that wobble and look like a fun-house mirrors. We have secured the mirror to a monolithic laminate that incorporates the aluminum frames to give mirror panel rigidity unmatched by the industry standards.

Hardcoat™ Mirror is fabricated from an acrylic mirror bonded to a flat surface in aluminum frames. These frames have wall mount brackets, rolling floor stands and overhead display mounts as options.

Hardcoat Mirror Technical Information

Acrylic is often used where safety and ease of handling are concerns. It is many times more impact resistant than conventional plate glass and has similar impact strength compared to tempered glass.

1/4″ thick plate glass- impact 1.0 ft-lbs.
1/4″ thick tempered glass- impact 15-29ft-lbs.
1/4″ thick acrylic mirror – impact 18.1ft-lbs.

There is 18 times the strength of regular glass, while a sheet of acrylic weighs half as much as glass.

Tabor Abrasion Test results (% haze after 100 cycles)
Plate glass=0.23%
Hardcoat mirror=1.34%
Regular acrylic=26.9%

Our Hardcoat mirrors are UL classified, File #E54671 and Flammability rating: 94HB
They also meet ANSI Z97.1 for Safety Glazing Materials used in Buildings Acrylic mirrors have the advantages in architectural application such as mechanical strength, high impact strength, light weigh, low thermal conductivity and reduced
breakage in transportation.
